"The Ugly Duckling Story"

"HONK! JR." transforms Hans Christian Andersen's classic tale into a modern musical comedy appropriate for everyone in the family. The musical tells the story of Ugly, whose odd gawky looks instantly incite prejudice from his family and neighbors. Separated from the farm and pursued by a hungry Cat, Ugly must find his way home with only his loving mother Ida searching for him. Along his harrowing yet hilarious journey Ugly discovers his true beauty and glorious destiny, as well as love and acceptance in all its forms. With all of its wonderful humor, charm and message of tolerance, this musical is perfect for audiences of all ages.

Congratulations to the 6th, 7th and 8th graders for their wonderful performances and dedication to the Honk Jr. production. The show was nothing less than stellar and reflects the quality of education at Saint Theresa’s school.

Special thanks to Mrs. Meagher and Ryan Boyles and to all of the volunteers and stage designers. The set design and costumes were fantastic and the entire production was not to be missed. Honk Jr. 2008 was a show well worth remembering. You should all be very proud!
